Shrine Bowl Game Chairman, Jamie Smith, has proudly announced the playing of the Annual Shrine Bowl Football Game in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Smith said, “Since 2004, America's Original All-Star Game has been played in Spartanburg where it has continued to thrive and flourish. The 87th Game Day will again feature 44 of North Carolina’s finest versus 44 of South Carolina’s best.”
Chris Norman, Athletic Director of the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas, also announced the coaches selected for the 2023 North Carolina Tar Heels and the South Carolina Sandlappers. He added, “These coaches have been selected and approved to coach their respective teams in the 87th game.”
